WordPress is one of the most popular open source content management system, people from all over the world use for running their professional personal blogs. This course was planned to provide you, the busy manager, with the required tools and understanding so you could start running your own blog using the WordPress open source content management system. Taking this course you will have your own up-and-running blog powered by WordPress, either on your own server, your own hosting provider or on one of the free available services on the web. WordPress is well known for its plug-in architecture. This architecture allows us to extend the basic installation with endless various plug-ins. Most of them are free. Many of them allows you to integrate your blog with other social networks, such as twitter, foursquare, facebook and others. During this course you will learn how to customize your blog by installing various plug-ins in according with your needs. WordPress is well known for its templating system. The templating system allows us to change the look and feel of our blog in a simple easy to follow way. The huge range of various templates provides us with the option to choose and/or to create a new one, either from scratsh or based on a template that already exists. During this course you will learn how to install new templates and how to adjust them to your requirements and preferences.
