Python is a software programming language that aims to serve as the main programming language in use when integrating between different systems.

Learn Python! The Python programming language is especially known for its capability to improve our programming productivity when developing and maintaining software systems. Python is available for free usage both for commercial and for non commercial usage. Code written in Python can be easily integrated with .NET and Java. The integration with Java is done using jython, an implementation of python for the Java virtual machine. The integration with .NET is done using IronPython, Microsoft's implementation for the .NET framework. Python is available for most of the operating systems, inclusing Windows, OS/2, Mac, Amiga and others. In the mobile arena, Python is available for usage when developing applications for Symbian based mobile telephones. Companies all over the world use Python in their systems. The most popular example is the google search engine, that uses Python in its server side. Another popular example is youtube, that also uses Python in its server side. Extensions and modules can be easily written either in C\C++ or Java (when working with Jython) and C# (when working with IronPython).

Taking this course you will learn how to take advantage of the Python programming language while leveraging the software development skills you already have.
